LDA vice-chairman among others transferred in UP
Lucknow,June 25(UNI) In a surprise move, the Uttar Pradesh government today shunted out Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) vice-chairman Ram Bahadur after the Supreme Court (SC) referred the Sahara-LDA case to the Allahabad High Court, after disposing its Special Leave Petition (SLP).
The state government appointed Mukesh Kumar Mesram, Director, SUDA, Lucknow as the new LDA vice-chairman and transferred Mr Bahadur to Moradabad as Additional Commissioner.
The UP government also transferred principal secretary, Housing, Harminder Raj Singh as the member of Revenue Board and appointed V Raj Gopalan, principal secretary, small industry at Mr Harminder's place.
The move of the government came after the SC this morning allowed the Sahara Group to construct temporary tin boundary wall at the Sahara Shaher, which was demolished by the LDA on June 23 and the SC ordered status quo into the matter. Later, both the LDA and the Sahara group moved a contempt before the SC, in which the ruling was given today.
The other transferred officers including, Ashish Kumar Goyal, special secretary, Rural Development, who is now the District Magistrate (DM), Chitrakoot, while earlier incumbent Anamika Singh has been made the Joint Secretary of the Agricultural Production Commissioner branch.
Yogesh Kumar Shukla, Joint Secretary, LDA, is now deputy-controller, Chakbandi, Ghazipur.
