KT Tunstall's unique fan - the Dalai Lama

London, June 25 : British singer KT Tunstall has attracted a very unusual fan - the Dalai Lama.

In a recent interview, the 32-year-old star revealed that His Highness wants to meet her.

"I got one of the strangest emails I've ever had," the Mirror quoted her, as telling Closer magazine.

"It was from my manager, with the subject 'Dalai Lama' and the message said: 'He wants to meet you.' I said yes straight away," she added.

Tunstall broke into the public eye with a live solo performance of her song "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree" on Later with Jools Holland.

She has enjoyed commercial and critical success since, selling over four million albums, and picking up three BRIT Awards and two Grammy nominations.
