Jet Li offered membership of Oscar Academy

New Delhi, June 25 : The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has revealed that Jet Li is one of the 105 film personalities who have been invited to join it.

Becoming a member of the academy, Li will be entitled to help decide Oscar winners.

According to the China Daily, a report posted on the Web site Sohu.com says that Jackie Chan, Joan Chen and Vivian Wu are the other Chinese stars have previously been invited to join the academy.

"Borat" creator Sacha Baron Cohen, and the latest Best Actress Oscar winner Marion Cotillard have also been invited to join the academy.

This year's list of invitees includes actors, directors, producers, editors, and writers.

They will bring the academy's voting members to nearly 6,000.
