'Ignore Amarnath protests by fundamentalist elements' : Katiyar

New Delhi, Jun 25 (UNI) Strongly criticising the protests against creation of pilgrimage infrastructure by Amarnath Shrine Board in Jammu and Kashmir senior BJP leader Vinay Katiyar today asked the state government to ignore the protests by fundamentalist forces.

In a statement Mr Katiyar said it was a welcome step that the Congress Government in Jammu and Kashmir had decided to provide land to Amarnath Shrine Board as a goodwill gesture like in other places in several parts of the country where Haj Houses were constructed.

The state government should without succumbing to the pressures help in the utilisation of the lands allotted to the Shrine Board and stop the agitation by fundamentalist elements for maintaining communal harmony.
