Goa Govt constitutes disaster management authority
Panaji, Jun 25 (UNI) The Goa government today reconstituted the State Disaster Management Authority with Chief Minister Digambar Kamat as its Ex-Officio Chairman.
Revenue Minister Jose Phillip D'Souza is the vice-chairman and Ex-Officio, Chief Secretary J P Singh is the Member - Ex Officio and Secretary for Revenue, Collectors of North and South Goa, Director of Fire and Emergency Services, Director General of Police, Principal Chief Engineer, PWD, Chief Engineer of Water Resource and Chief Engineer of Electricity are members of the Authority.
The order constituting the Authority comes into force with immediate effect. The tenure of the Authority is for one year, according to an official release here today.
