Factory making duplicate watches busted, one arrested
New Delhi, Jun 25 (UNI) The Delhi police have busted a factory where duplicate watches were assembled and sold and arrested one person in this connection.
Based on an information that duplicate watches of 'Maxima' brand were being manufactured, marketed and distributed by some people, a team conducted raids on a shop in Lajpat Nagar and seized 627 wrist watches of 'Maxima' brand worth eight lakhs from there, police said today.
A person named Pradeep Bhatia was arrested from the shop.
The accused revealed that he used to supply these duplicate watches in various parts of UP and Haryana, the police added.
A casde under the Copyright act has been registered against the accused.
