Educational institutions remain closed in Gaderbal on Yatra route
Srinagar, Jun 25 (UNI) The District Administration in Ganderbal has ordered closure of all educational institutions and postponement of all interviews in view of high-degree of tension because of yesterday's violent incidents which injured 15 people after police fired teargas shells and resorted to lathicharge.
Official sources said the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal has ordered closure of all schools and colleges in the district because of tense situation.
He said all the interviews for recruitment, which were under fast-track have also been postponed till further orders.
Yesterday police fired teargas shells and resorted to lathicharge to disperse demonstrators who had blocked the Srinagar-Baltal route.
Altogether 15 people were injured in the police action, they said adding the demonstrators were protesting against the transfer of the forest land to Shri Amarnth Shrine Board (SASB).
