Domestic help held for abducting minor

Aligarh, Jun 25 (UNI) Police today arrested three people, including a woman, for kidnapping a six-year-old to earn Rs 12 lakh as ransom in the Delhati gate station area here.

Poonam, a domestic help at the residence of printing press owner Girish Chandra Suman, had taken his son Hemank for a walk yesterday afternoon, however, she along with the minor went missing, police said.

After searching at the possible locations, Mr Suman registered an FIR regarding the same.

Taking the action police held four people, who during iterrogations spilled the beans.

On being tipped off by one of the accused, police raided a house in Naraura area of Bulandshehr, where they found Hemank and Poonam.

According to police, Narendra, Sonu and Poonam had planned to kidnap the minor and hide him in Bundelkhand.

Wittingly, the police managed to solve the case within 24 hours, however, fourth accused Soni managed to escape.
