Delhi hit by overnight rain again
New Delhi, Jun 25: For the second successive day today, Delhi was hit by overnight rains, indicating an increase in rainfall in the coming days. The rainfall, which came after cloudy weather since Tuesday evening, June 24, led to a drop in the minimum temperature, from 26.8 degrees Celsius to 25.6 degrees Celsius, 3 degrees below normal.
A total of 11.1 mm of rainfall was recorded till 0830 hrs. While bringing down the mercury, the rainfall also led to a rise in humidity to over 90 per cent causing perspiring conditions. The capital could witness more spells of rainfall in coming days with the weatherman forecasting an increase in rainfall activity in Delhi and other parts of northwest India towards the weekend. The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in Delhi in the next 24 hours with rain and thundershowers in a few areas.
