BJP wants separate Telangana before 2009 polls
Hyderabad, Jun 25: Speaking to newspersons here, he said intellectuals and employees unions were also supporting the BJP's argument as it was the right time to force the Centre to realise the dreams of Telangana people.
Predicting that the Congress would also take a beating on the Telangana issue if it delayed its decision on the same, on the lines of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) which faced a major blow after TDP strongman and senior leader T Devendar Goud resigned on June 23, he said a majority of intellectuals opined that all pro-Telangana forces should get united and fight for the cause of Telangana.
The BJP had organised a meeting with the intellectuals and leaders of Telangana employees unions to elicit their opinion on the issue and enlist their support for the BJP.
