The bizarre record breaking cramming attempts

London, June 25 : If you consider stuffing someone's mouth with chocolate cookies a tedious task, please drive your attention to these record breaking bizarre cramming attempts - like squeezing 22 people in a Mini Cooper and packing as many people as possible into a phone box - that will surely make your jaws drop.

Britain's newspaper the Mirror has compiled a list of four record breaking cramming attempts that will surely leave you stunned.

The world record for the most number of people in a Mini Cooper is 22, set in New York in 2007. Various attempts have been made, and this one was broadcast on television to an audience, with the final people squeezed into the boot of the car.

On June 9, 2007, Ferrari managed to set the Guinness World Record for Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars at Silverstone with 385.

To complete the record, the cars had to be no more than two car lengths apart and travel a distance of two miles, reports the Mirror.

More than 60 million pounds worth of Ferraris were on the track, with a representative of Guinness counting the attempt.

The record for most cigars smoked at once was set by an American named Jim Mouth, who holds a total of 22 world records, many involving stuffing things into his mouth - managing a total of 41 cigars, on 21 April 1983.

He lit them with a propane torch and tried to smoke them for a total of five minutes for TV show 'That's Incredible'. His numerous other records raised money for charity.

The unusual trend for cramming as many people as possible into a phone box was at its peak in the fifties. The South African record of 25 is regarded as the 'record' as although 40 Canadians made it into one booth, it was on its side and so had to be discounted. One of the only rules of the 'telephone box squash' was that the booth must still contain a phone.
