Better arrangement for seed, fertiliser distribution in C'garh

Raipur, Jun 25 (UNI) Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has described storage and distribution arrangement of seeds and chemical fertilisers by the Agriculture Department through cooperative societies as satisfactory.

The Chief Minister reviewed arrangement of distribution of seeds and fertilisers at a high-level meeting here last evening.

He issued directions to the officials concerned to monitor storage and distribution constantly. Chief Secretary Shivraj Singh and Additional Chief Secretary and Agriculture Commissioner S Minj were present in the meeting.

The meeting was informed that 1.54 lakh quintal seeds had been distributed by June 20 in the current kharif season. It was thrice the quantity of seeds distributed last year.
