Bangladeshi intruder shot dead

Coochbehar, Jun 25 (UNI) A Bangladeshi was shot dead when the BSF fired at a group of intruders at Mathabhanga near here today.

SDPO, Mathabhanga, Ananda Roy said the BSF jawans fired when a group of seven people defied a call for halt at the Satgachi border outpost of Mathabhanga block.

The BSF later recovered a body from the site and sent it for post mortem. Some Bangladeshi Takas were found from the deceased.

The BSF was trying to contact the Bangladesh Rifles to handover the body.
