An afternoon thundershower brings relief to Kolkatans

Kolkata, Jun 25 (UNI) Light rains accompained with thundershowers today hit the city and its suburbs, bringing down the mercury quite considerably to 33.4 degrees Celcius.

Light rains, which occurred in the form of short bursts, was recorded at 01 mm.

The local Met office recorded the minimum temperature this morning at 27.4 degrees Celcius.

The coolness in the air is likely to persist for another day or two with weathermen forcasting partly cloudy sky with the possibility of a spell of rain or thundershowers in some areas during the next 24 hours.
