WatchGuard partners Dell for network security

New Delhi, Jun 24: WatchGuard Technologies today said it has partnered with Dell for joint marketing efforts for business network security in the country. The company will collaborate with Dell to share resources to reach five lakh small-to-medium-sized enterprises with Dell's computer systems and WatchGuard's Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances.

''Both WatchGuard and Dell consider India a strategic market, and we are coming together to jointly address the growing requirements and the rapid uptake in technology adoption in the enterprise marketplace. This alliance will provide what enterprises today want - integrated end-to-end solutions, from one vendor,'' WatchGuard Technologies Country Manager (India and SAARC) Sunil Sara said.

''The network solutions coupled with security options that help mitigate security risks, including anti-virus, spam, and application- layer threats in one, multifunction security appliance, will be a winning solution for the customer, he added.

Under the agreement, Dell will offer WatchGuard Firebox X UTM appliances as part of Dell's solutions offerings to its customers in India.

In addition, WatchGuard and Dell will jointly develop marketing and business development plans to reach businesses nationwide.

The WatchGuard Firebox X family of wired and wireless unified threat management appliances and WatchGuard SSL VPN remote-access solutions provide extensible network security, in-depth analysis, and unparalleled network visibility, management and control.
