TRS General Secretary quits party, to join hands with Goud
Hyderabad, Jun 24 (UNI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) General Secretary and spokesperson P Prakash today announced resigning from the party posts and joining hands with Mr T Devendar Goud, who quit the Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) yesterday, for the cause of Telangana.
Speaking to newspersons here, Mr Prakash, one of the founder members of the party, said he was quitting the TRS to unite all the Telangana leaders, who were away from the TRS, to fight for separate State.
''The reason to quit the TRS was to strengthen the Telangana sentiment and there is no dispute with TRS President K Chandrasekhara Rao as a section of the media is propagating,'' he clarified.
Stating that he would join hands with Mr Goud and fight for the cause of Telangana after attending the meeting organised on June 28 by Mr Goud, he said he had floated the Telangana Ikya Vedika in 1997 by bringing all organisations under one roof and launched the fight for Telangana.
