TCS bags contract from Uganda authority

New Delhi, Jun 24 (UNI) Software major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today said it has won a contract from Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) to design and install integrated tax administration system.

The new system will manage all taxes including income tax, value added tax, withholding tax among other levies, a company statement said.

However, the company did not mention the size of the contract.

The 11.5 million dollar project has been funded by UK, the Netherlands, Belgium and Uganda, it added.

The system will help the URA to better the tax compliance, broaden the tax base and provide the efficient services to citizens of Uganda, it added.
