'State govt should concede to demands of striking employees'
Jammu, Jun 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir National Conference today flayed the callous attitude of the coalition government for not taking steps to concede to the demands of the striking clerks of state government departments.
''The employees are not demanding anything which is unjust or beyond the competence of the government,'' Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari, senior National Conference leader and MLA Surankote in a statement issued here said and added that the on-going strike has paralysed work in almost all government office's of the state thereby adding to the problems of the general public.
''The anti- employees policies by the present coalition regime has forced the employees to come on the streets,'' the MLA added.
''The government should not stand on prestige but break up its silence, come forward and listen to the genuine demands of the striking employees and concede to them,'' Mr Bukhari said.
