Philippine sailor dies in hospital

Visakhapatnam, Jun 24: A Philippine, who was part of a crew of a cargo vessel died at the corporate hospital, following an accident on board a ship anchored at the harbour here.

According to police, the accident occurred when Donny S Aluman (53) was pulling a chain on the board 'Amitia Kokase,' an Italy-based cargo ship, anchored at the port here after arriving from Kolkata a couple of days ago.

The doctors performed an operation to join the hand but he died last night due to excess bleeding, police said.
