One dead in oil tanker mishap
Kohima, Jun 24 (UNI) A person was killed when the empty oil tanker in which he was travelling fell into a 200 feet deep gorge near Zubza under Kohima district on National Highway 39.
Official sources said here today that the empty oil tanker was coming from Manipur after unloading the fuel and was on its way to Dimapur when the accident occurred last evening.
The victim was identified as one Ajay, the handyman of the tanker, as per the documents found in the vehicle.
The driver of the tanker reportedly fled and a manhunt was on to apprehend the driver and ascertain the cause of accident.
