Kamdhenu Ispat forays into Nepal

New Delhi, Jun 24 (UNI) Eyeing the growing steel demand in Nepal, Kamdhenu Ispat Ltd today said it will enter the country in collaboration with Maruti Nandan Rolling Mills Pvt Ltd.

''Kamdhenu will cover a major part of Nepal's construction market through this unit. Construction segment is growing rapidly in Nepal and this will open up lucrative business opportunities,'' a company statement said.

''We are focusing on small and developing countries. This international venture is a planned and strategical move and we are ready to open new business horizons,'' company CMD Satish Agarwal said.

Presently, Nepal holds a steel demand of more than five lakh metric tonnes per annum. Of this, TMT Steel Bar covers about three LMT annually.

Kamdhenu would provide Maruti Nandan with the technology to manufacture quality-oriented TMT Steel Bars.
