Industrialist Vijay Sankeshwar takes oath MC
Bangalore, June 24 (UNI) Three-time Lok Sabha Member and Industrialist Vijay Sankeshwar took oath as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Council here today.
Mr Sankeshwar's name was recommended by the State Government from among the five persons in the nominated category to the Karnataka Legislative Council on June 20.
As soon as the House assembled today, Prof B K Chandrashekhar, who was in the Chair, had invited Mr Sankeshwar to take oath as the member of the Council.
The government had recommended five names to the Upper House from the nominated category.
Mr Dodda Rangegowda (Literature), Mr Dore Swamy (Education), Dr Mumtaz Ali Khan (Education) and Ms H R Leela (Education) took oath yesterday.
