Former sarpanch stabbed to death

Porbandar, Jun 24 (UNI) A former 'sarpanch' was allegedly stabbed to death by present 'sarpanch' and his three sons at Mokar village in Ranavav taluka of the district.

'Sarpanch' Bhikha Rajabhai and his three sons -- Dinesh, Naran and Mohan -- attacked Premjibhai Shiyani (40) with knives yesterday and fled from the scene, police said.

Profusely bleeding Premjibhai was rushed to Porbandar hospital, where he died before treatment, police said.

Political rivalry between them said to be the cause of murder.

Premjibhai's brother Gordhanbhai lodged police complaint against the four for killing his brother.

The police have launched a search to nab the four.
