Federation demands resignation of Pondy CM
Puducherry, Jun 24 (UNI) Alleging that all sections of the society had lost faith in the leadership of Chief Minister N Rangasamy, the Federation of Village Panchayat Presidents Association today demanded his resignation owning moral responsibility.
A resoution to this effect was adopted at the administrative committee meeting, Federation Vice-President Jaganathan said at a press conference here today.
The resoution said as people of Karaikal region, villagers and his cabinet collegues have lost faith in him, Mr Rangasamy should quit.
The administration had also come to a standstill and there was no semblance of law and order, another resolution said adding that even after two years of Local Body elections, the government had failed to initiate steps for devolution of powers to the elected representatives.
