Doctor loses control, hits four

New Delhi, Jun 24 (UNI) A 54-year-old doctor was arrested after he knocked down four people while driving negligently in Rohini area of north-west Delhi.

While three of the injured were discharged after first aid, the fourth one has been admitted to the Ambedkar Hospital with a fractured leg, said police.

The accident took place last night when Dr R K Goyal, who runs a clinic in Mongolpuri, was driving his new car in Rohini Sector 3.

Reportedly, in an inebriated state, the doctor lost control and hit a scooterist, a man on a motorcycle and an ice-cream vendor before finally hitting a pedestrian.

He was arrested and a case of negligent driving registered.

However, he was released on bail today, the police added.
