Brit soldiers beating the bugs with Venus Flytraps!
London, June 24 : British troops in Iraq are ordering insect-eating Venus Flytraps online to keep their tanks and armoured personnel vehicles free of bugs.
Alistair Pearce, who owns South West Carnivorous Plants in Culmstock, Devon, has been given the order.
"Our more interesting orders are from Iraq," The Sun quoted Pearce, as saying.
"Soldiers want Venus Flytraps for armoured personnel carriers.
"One soldier phoned from a combat zone because he was getting pestered by flies in his vehicle," Pearce added.
The carnivorous flowers trap flies in jaw-like leaves and digest them.
