Blind murder case solved in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jun 24 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have solved yet another blind murder case when they arrested the killer in south Kashmir, a police spokesman said today.
He said on March 28, a missing report was lodged that one Abdul Hamid Bhat went missing on way to Anantnag where he was scheduled to purchase some tin sheets for his house.
However, despite massive searches, police could not find Bhat.
Later, on June 12, a decomposed body was recovered from the orchards at Ramgad, Badgam.
Using the latest scientific methods, the body was later identified as that of Bhat.
He said, police after investigation arrested one Aijaz Ahmad, Sheikh alias Pina Bhat, a known criminal, who confessed that he had killed Abdul Hamid Bhat.
