Bangladesh President Iajuddin's health stable

Dhaka, Jun 24 (UNI) Health condition of Bangladesh President Iajuddin Ahmed, admitted in the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) last night, was stable today, doctors said.

A seven-member medical board headed by Brig Gen (retd) MA Malik reviewed the President's health and advised him to be under treatment until he settles down.

President's press secretary Abdul Awal Howlader said that his temperature was recorded at 102-103 degree Fahrenheit.

The temperature came down to 101 degree today, he said.

Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed visited the ailing President at the CMH today.

Physicians confirmed that the President is suffering from viral fever. Professor Iajuddin Ahmed, 77, had an open heart surgery at St Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore in 2006.
