Apollo Hospitals Q1 up 32%
Chennai, June 24 (UNI) Apollo Hospitals Enterprise, a leading healthcare service provider, recorded an income of Rs 3,118 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2008, an increase of 31.6 per cent over Rs 2,368 million for the corresponding period last year.
The net profit after tax for the quarter stood at Rs 219 million, a 48.9 per cent increase over Rs 147 million registered in the same period last year, the company said in a release here today.
The cumulative income for 12 months ended March 31, 2008 was Rs 11,500 million, a 28 per cent increase over Rs 8,995 million recorded last year.
During the financial year 2007-08, 262 standalone pharmacies were added taking the total to 612. The result of the rapid expansion in pharmacies contributed to Rs 88 negative EBIT.
Apollo Global Projects and Consultancy division revenue stood at Rs 220 million, an increase of 35 per cent in the turnover of Rs 162 million for the year ended March 31, 2007.
The EBIT stood at 98 million compared to Rs 21 million in the same period last year.
