Anti-Malaria drive in Nagaland

Kohima, Jun 24 (UNI) As a part of the ongoing 'Anti-Malaria Month' in Nagaland, the Malaria Department, under the state Health and Family Welfare Department, will conduct a 'Mosquito Killing Hour' in Dimapur district on June 29.

Official sources said here today that Dimapur Additional Deputy Commissioner Sedivikho Khro appealed to all the citizens to ''kill as many mosquitoes as possible by using their own methods on June 29 from 1700 hours to 1800 hours.'' He also appealed to the citizens to submit the innovative methods to the Zonal Malaria Office, Dimapur so that further research and measures could be taken up.

Mr Khro also requested all the Chairmen, Gaon Burahs of the colonies, wards and villages respectively to ensure that the 'Mosquito Killing Hour' is carried out in their respective areas to get rid of the menace of the dreaded disease carrier.
