Small and medium grade sugar down
Navi Mumbai, Jun 23 (UNI) Small and medium grade sugar prices eased today amid persistent offloading by stock holders, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.
Small and medium grade sugar dropped by Rs 9 and Rs 6 per quintal respectively, on lack of fresh buying support by stockists, traders said.
In ex-mill, both small and medium grade sugar remained unchanged due to moderate demand by stockists, traders added.
Following are the spot wholesale rates of sugar per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,450/1,510, Medium grade: Rs 1,484/1,575.
Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,440/1,470 and medium grade: Rs 1,475/1,525.
