Mukhiya of Bansra Panchayat murdered

Gopalganj, Jun 23 (UNI) The mukhiya of the Bansra Panchayat was stabbed to death by his sibling following some land dispute at the Kritpura village under Baikunthpur police station here.

Police said here today that Hemant Singh had a scuffle with his elder brother Vinay Singh following which the latter stabbed the mukhiya with a sharp weapon last night, killing him on the spot.

The body was sent for post-mortem and a case had been lodged on the basis of the statement of the victim's younger brother Kunal Singh, police added.
