Man held for trying to rape 5-year-old
Mumbai, June 23 (UNI) The Government Railway Police (GRP) today arrested one person, suspected to be a drug addict, for allegedly trying to rape a five-year-old girl on the railway tracks of the Harbour Line.
According to Railway police officials, Ramu Chinmay (28), had tried to rape the girl, living in one of the huts along the railway tracks, between Guru Teh Bahadur Nagar railway station and Wadala railway station. However, some of the girls from the neighbourhood saw this and started beating him up, Railway police said.
The patrolling GRP officials heard the commotion and later arrested the accused.
