Main witness in Padmapriya case arrested

Mangalore, Jun 23 (UNI) Police today arrested Atul Rao, the main witness of the sensational Padmapriya suicide case, here.

Confirming the arrest, investigating officer B G Achar said Atul would be produced before an Udupi court today.

Two complaints had been registered against Atul by Udupi BJP MLA, K Raghuram Bhat, husband of Padmapriya, he said.

He said the arrests were made on the basis of a complaint filed by the legislator.
