The PM said this while talking to a group of lawyers at his official residence. ''I will not permit anyone to politicise the Army. This is my firm commitment,'' former MP and advocate Harihar Dahal quoted Mr Koirala as saying.
Mr Koirala also expressed commitment to adjust and integrate qualified Maoist army personnel in security agencies. "'The integration and adjustment should be based on policy and plan of the security organisation concerned,'' the Prime Minister said. He had invited Dahal, Radheshyam Adhikary, Ram Kumar Shrestha, Baburam Kunwar, Sher Bahadur KC, Madhav Banskota and Upendra Keshari Neupane, to discuss a host of constitutional issues. ''We told the PM that his determination not to resign without the appointment of President is in line with interim statute,'' Mr Dahal said.
