Final voters' list on Aug 29

Puducherry, Jun 23 (UNI) The final voters list with qualifying date as January one, 2008, corrected as per the delimited constituency set-up, would be published here on August 29 this year.

According to Election Department sources, the draft list would be published on June 30 and objections and claims could be made from June 30 to July 10.

Electorate could apply for any amendment from July 11 to August 11.

The draft voters list would be placed at all polling booths from June 30 to July 10 to enable the voters to verify their names in the list.

Voters could also apply online by logging on to www.ceopondicherry.nic.in.

The election authories today held discussion with representatives of recognised regional political parties in this regard.
