YSR lays foundation stone for Telugu daily's office
Hyderabad, June 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today laid the foundation stone for Telugu daily Vishalandra's office and printing complex, to be named after Comrade N Giriprasad, at Uppal in the city.
Speaking to newspersons here, Dr Reddy said his Government would provide assistance to the newspaper, the party organ of the state Communist Party of India (CPI), to face the growing competition in the field in the State.
Recalling that he used to read the newspaper regularly during his early years in politics, he asked the newspaper to strive for educating the people on the developments taking place in the State.
State CPI Secretary K Narayana and MP S Sudhakar Reddy participated in the programme.
