Woman kills two daughters, attempts suicide

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Jun 22 (UNI) Vexed with life following the erratic behaviour of her husband, a woman killed both her daughters and made a vain bid to end her life, at Sanapalli Lanka village under Ayinavilli police station limits in East Godavari district today.

Police said Tamarapalli Eswara Padma (30) administered milk laced with poisonous substance to her daughters and strangled them to death with a shawl. Later, she tried to commit suicide by strangling self with the same shawl.

However, their neighbours broke open the doors, suspecting foul play. They found Tulasi (10) and Siri (7) lying dead. However Padma was unconscious and rushed to hospital.

She is battling for life in a private hospital in Amalapuram as her condition continues to be critical.
