Leopard caged in Junagadh district of Gujarat
Rajkot, Jun 22 (UNI) After making strenuous efforts for nearly six hours, forest officials today successfully caged a leopard in Khadkhad area of Veraval in Jungadh district here.
The wild animal entered the Patia building situated in Khadkhad area at about 1200 hrs after straying from nearby Gir forest.
Fortunately, there was no one in the house when the leopard entered the building. The villagers reported about the animal to Junagadh forest officials after they had locked the room, it was in, from outside.
As soon as the news reached the forest authorities, Range Forest Officer A R Vaghasia and his team rushed to the spot with emergency medical service. After battling for hours, the officials succeeded to overpower the wild beast and caged it.
