Home Guard jawan murdered at railway station

Ambala, June 22 (UNI) A Home Guard jawan on watch duty with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Ambala Cantonment station was allegedly stabbed to death today by a vendor who was operating illegally at the station.

The jawan, Jagpal Singh (40), was murdered after he caught a vendor, identified as Rajesh, selling eatables in trains without a permit. The jawan, who was rushed to hospital after the incident died on the way.

The alleged assaliant was nabbed by the railway police from Ludhiana later in the day and was brought here.
