CPI activists damage Reliance godown at Madanapalli
Chittoor , Jun 21: A mob led by CPI activists and farmers vandalised a Reliance Mart Godown at Madanapalli Market Yard here today to protest the conversion of farmers' rest room into mart godown by Market Yard President Gopala Reddy.
As many as 100 activists including farmers led by CPI leader Kistappa stormed the Reliance Mart Godown at Madanapalli Market Yard and damanaged the furniture and stationary.
The Reliance staff, however, managed to escape their anger.
They alleged the allocating of farmers rest room to the corporate Reliance godown is causing problem to farmers in taking rest at the Madanapalli market yard.
