All castes should come forward to strengthen BSP in J

Jammu, Jun 22 (UNI) Hopeful of winning maximum number of seats in the forthcoming Assembly elections, Narinder Kashyap, in-charge Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Jammu and Kashmir, today said people from all castes and religions should come forward to strengthen the party.

''Following the mantra of 'sarv jan hitaye-sarv jan sukhaye', BSP has emerged as a force to reckon with in the country. We want people from all fronts to join BSP for better governance as BSP president and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati provides in the state,'' Mr Kashyap and Uttar Pradesh Power Minister Ramvir Upadhayay said at a joint press conference here this afternoon.

''The BSP has intentions to make India a developed country on the basis of equality, liberty and fraternity by eradicating caste barriers and social disparity,'' Mr Kashyap, who is also a member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in UP, said.

Power Minister Ramvir Upadhayay said Dalit-Brahmin ombination has given a new equation to the country, which has made Uttar Pradesh shine.

''On the directions of Ms Mayawati, the party workers and Ministers are on their toes to make this new equation a success in Jammu and Kashmir as well,'' Mr Upadhayay said.

Mr Kashyap said a list of 40 candidates from different constituencies has been announced for Assembly elections whereas other names would soon be announced.

Besides, Mr Kashyap held right Ms Mayawati's decision of withdrawing support from UPA government genuine. ''Our leader has made a right decision as Congress has completely failed to control inflation and I think withdrawing support was an appropriate step,''Mr Kashyap added.
