After 'Maa Vaishno Devi', 'Kahaani Mahabharat Ki' on 9X from July 7

New Delhi, Jun 22 (UNI) After a phase of family shows, mythological sagas seem to be fast coming into vogue on the small screen.

After the successful 'Prithviraj Chauhan' on Star Plus, 'Ramayan' being aired on NDTV Imagine and 'Jai Maa Vaishno Devi' being aired on the 9X channel, the small screen will witness recreation of the greatest Indian epic 'Mahabharat' next month.

After the hugely successful 'Mahabharata' from the stable of B R films over two decades ago, the ''queen of family soaps'' Ekta Kapoor will unfold her take of the great epic on 9X general entertainment channel on July 7, channel sources said.

Featuring some of the best stars on the Indian television including Ronit Roy, Sakshi Tanwar, Aryan Vaid, Chetan Hansraj, Akashdeep Saigal, Anita Hassanandani, Rakshanda Khan and Makrand Deshpande, 'Kahaani Hamaaray Mahabharat Ki' will premiere on the 9X channel on July 7 at 2100 hrs, the sources said.

Equipped with grand production values- the show is being shot on spectacular sets, and in the best locations, including Ladakh, Jaipur, Wai; has costumes designed by designer Manish Malhotra -, 'Kahaani Hamaaray Mahabharat Ki', being produced by Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, will air Mondays to Thursdays at the 9 pm slot from July 7.
