US in constant touch with India to see nuke deal through

Washington, Jun 21 (UNI) Expressing concern over the delay in materialising the Indo-US nuclear deal, the Bush administration has said it was in constant touch with New Delhi to see it through.

''We are talking to them about it and they are briefing us on their efforts,'' US State Department spokesman Sean McCormack told newspersons yesterday.

Cautioning that every single-day delay would only worsen the situation, he said the UPA Government was keeping them updated on what was being done to resolve the internal political differences over the issue.

Talking about change of government in the US after the Presidentional elections, the spokesman said there would be a separate government that is going to deal with it. Besides, international Nuclear Suppliers Group and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) would also discuss it.

''We'll continue to work very closely with Senator Joe Biden, chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and others to make it work,'' he said.
