President reaches Jodhpur

Jodhpur, Jun 21 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil today arrived here on a two-day visit to Rajasthan.

The President arrived at Jodhpur airport from New Delhi by a special Indian Air Force plane arround 0930 hrs. Mines Minister L N Dave and several other dignitaries were present at the airport.

She is scheduled to inaugurate a school in Loradi Deshgara on Jodhpur Jaisalmer Road later in the day and attend a programme being organised to commemorate renowned jurist and MP late Laxmi Mall Singhvi's social services.

Ms Patil would later proceed for Jaipur from Jodhpur around 1530 hrs and inaugurate Shekhawati Centre here. Rajasthan Governor Shilendra Kumar Singh, Gujarat Governor Nawal Kishore Sharma and Union Mines Minister Shish Ram Ola would also participate in the programme.
