Medium, ex-mill medium grade sugar fall
Navi Mumbai, Jun 21 (UNI) Both, medium and ex-mill medium grade sugar prices fell today owing to sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants Association said.
Medium grade sugar eased by Rs 6 per quintal on lack of fresh buying support, while small grade sugar remained flat on moderate demand by stockists, traders said.
In ex-mill grade sugar, medium grade sugar dropped by Rs 5 per quintal because of sluggish demand by bulk consumers, while small grade remained steady on scattered buying by stockists, traders added.
Following are the spot wholesale rates of sugar per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,459/1,510, Medium grade: Rs 1,490/1,575.
