Inter-religious meet on National Integration held
Chennai, Jun 21: An inter-religious conference on National Integration was held here today to commemorate the centenary celebrations of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamat.
Organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, an international movement for peace and harmony, more than 7000 delegates attended the Tamil Nadu conference, AMM member Ahmed Altaf said.
Eminent scholars from various religions including Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism, Sikhism and Islam delivered special lectures on Human Values in religion.
The conference was inaugurated by World-wide Ahmadiyya Movement India Chief Nam Gori.
To mark the occasion, free meals were provided to more than 1000 poor people and fve kg of rice was given to more than 800 people.
The main aim of the conference, held to commemorate the completion of 100 years of the revival of Khilafat in Ahmadiyyat, was to promote peace and unity true to its motto of "Love for all, Hatred for None".
