Fake currency gang busted in UP city
Bareilly, Jun 21: The city police have claimed to have busted a gang engaged in distribution of fake currency and arrested four people including a woman, and recovered fake currency of Rs 82,000 from their possesion.
The arrests were made in the wee hours today in Kotwali area when the gang members were proceeding to Hapur carrying fake currency from Nepal.
Three of the arrested hailed from Shahjahanpur district while one person belonged to Udhamsingh Nagar in Uttarakhand.
Inspector General of Police(IG) of Bareilly Zone Javeed Ahmad has announced cash reward of Rs 10,000 to the police party which engineered the catch.
