Excise dept team attacked, nine injured
Chhindwara, MP, June 21 (UNI) An excise department team was today attacked by villagers and nine members injured when it had gone to seize illegal liquor at Malisaglia village in this district's Junnardev area, police said.
Constables Haribhanu and Ramdayal were seriously injured and admitted to the district hospital. Others were admitted to hospital in Junnardev area.
Villagers pelted stones and thrashed members of the Excise team when they had gone for seizing illegal liquor.
Police said culprits would be identified and strict action taken against them.
