Delhi police arrests tribal woman in Bank Manager murder case
Rourkela, Jun 21 (UNI) A Delhi police team today took a tribal woman in police remand for her alleged involvement in the murder of a Bank Manager and his friend at Malavya Nagar on June 5.
Police said Lusi Minz (22), working as a domestic help in the house of Bank Manager Suren Suri, was arrested from her native village at Putudihi, about 60 km from here yesterday.
Lusi Minz and another Assamese youth allegedly poisoned the Bank Manager and his friend Nimai Suri to death and looted jewellery worth over Rs seven lakh, besides US 800 dollars.
One Rajiv Kumar Yadav, a friend of the Bank Manager, later lodged an FIR with the Malavya Nagar police station and the Delhi police, with the help of Kinjirikela police station in Sundargarh district, raided the house of Lusi Minz and nabbed her.
She was produced at the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate's court in Sundargarh, which granted the Delhi police permission to take her in police remand for further investigation and interrogation in the double murder case.
The tribal woman, after committing the crime, had boarded a train and arrived at her village, while the Assamese youth fled from Delhi railway station with the looted jewellery and booty.
However, the police failed to recover anything from the domestic servant's house.
